Let Me Love You.
-Kay, barbs, I posted as I promised. Don't worry posting will be regular over the next two weeks! So that's great! Anywho, enjoy!
-briaa:)
The song began playing softly. Nicki listened nodding her head to the beat of the music. The song was great, upbeat. But it wasn't what she wanted; traditional is what she wanted. It was a dream wedding for her. Of course, why wouldn't it be? This was her 1st wedding. She was supposed to be happy, excited. Instead, she was unhappy and lonely. Her facial expression said it all.
"Onika, hunny? Are you okay?"
Nicki looked up, "I'm fine. I'm sorry."
"It's okay. You should be blanking out like that. It's normal for weddings, with them being all stressful and all." Loreanne chuckled lightly.
Nicki chuckled to ease the tension and stress. Was she okay? No. But she would deal.
"About the song... Do you like it?"
"Um... I was thinking of maybe the traditional, original wedding song. Y'know like-" Nicki hummed a few bars so that they could get the picture.
"I haven't planned a wedding in a while, but since its for the queen, it can be done."
"If its too much trouble, we can compromise."
Loreanne smiled and shook her head, "no need to. I'm not going to let you stress about if I can find the original song for a wedding. You have more important things to worry about." She was right.
"Yeah, I guess-" Nicki hushed hearing her name. Safaree leaned over and began whispering.
"We have to go."
Loreanne excused herself from the room. She had something to take care of, but would email her the song and arrangements for her ideas for the whole wedding.
"It can't wait?"
Safaree shook his head, "it's 10 past 2 and your interview is at 3."
"Shit!" She jumped up. Grabbing her purse and other belongings, cupping them into her arms she rushed out, but not before telling the owner to contact her later.
The group filed into the black van. Since the interview was only a few miles away, that had time to spare. Nicki just hoped their wasn't traffic.
"What time is it now?" She asked breaking the comfortable silence.
"2:15." He looked over at her worried expression, "don't worry, we'll make it." His words comforted her only in that moment. She would need those words until all this wedding mess was over. But she wasn't too sure that she could make it.
San Diego.
Jay looked out as the mailman made his daily rounding. Watching the white truck drive off and down the private road, Jay thought. He knew Nicki had a meeting for work it was supposed to be "special".
Jay turned from the window, heading up the staircase. Lilly's room was the first door on the right. He never knew why they had so many room, but so little people.
"Lily." His knuckles lightly beat against the light wood of the white painted door. Princess stickers were plastered all over the door along with a sign that read, "no parents allowed." Apparently it made lily seem older, and more mature. At least that's what lily told them.
"Yes, daddy?"
He walked in, "what are you doing?"
"Coloring." She explained as they walked over to her coloring table covered In used paper. Some colored some scribbled on.
He looked down and picked up that single piece of crumbled up paper. He made sue she wasn't looking before in crumbling it. It was a picture neatly drawn of their family. The picture expressed so much to a 6 year old.
"Lily."
"Hmm?"
"What's this?" Jay asked as he looked over the picture. It was so neat but the feeling of it all was so sad.
"Our family, daddy. Duh!" The girl giggled.
Jay crouched down next to her. He wanted her to explain it. Tell him what it meant because he wasn't getting it.
"Why is mommy crying?" She looked at him.
"Because she's sad."
"Why is she sad?"
Lily shrugged, "I don't know. Every time you leave for work, she sits on her bed and cries. I ask her what's wrong and she doesn't tell me. I don't know why." She went back to coloring.
Now it was all clear. Jay reached down into his basketball shorts pocket and retrieved his vibrating phone. A text came through.
-Can I come over?
-Yeah. Lilly's here but she won't care.
-on my way.
Jay dropped his phone back into his pocket. "Daddy's friend is coming over, you want to hang out with us?"
"No. I'm not finished coloring my picture yet. Maybe another time." My laughed at her. He was hoping she would say that.
Nicki...
"He's not here?"
"Nope. We tried contacting him, but no answer."
"You know what, lets go. I Can't do this alone, not anymore. I really don't care what happens from now on!"
She stormed out. She walked with her head down, her eyes blinded by tears. She bumped into a hard body.
"I'm sorry."
"Nicki?"
She looked up, "Drake? What are you-"
"Why are you crying?" She looked away.
"What happened to you?"
"Nothing. I'm fine. You still haven't told me what you were doing here."
He dismissed his question, "I want to take you out, so that we can talk."
"I don't-"
"Please?" His eyes were round. Why did he have to be so cute and sexy all at the same time?
"Okay. But I'm tired so can we go somewhere relaxing and quiet?" She looked up, her dimples showing and her brown eyes staring up at him. He had fallen in love all over again.
"How bout' the beach?"
She smiled and jumped up and down releasing squeals, "yes! I need to relax. I've been so stressed lately."
"You can talk to me about it."
"I don't know, drake. I barely know you and-"
"You know me, you just don't remember."
"I'm don't-"
"Just follow me." He led the over to an secret area away for the rest of the crowded beach. He was gonna get her back tonight...
-The rest will be up tomorrow night. Thanks for commenting guys, it means a lot. What will happen. Only time will tell! Hehe!

All Alone.
Nicki was awoken by the sun rays of the morning shining in. The clock had just struck 10 and she was still in bed. She never slept this late. Looking both ways she was stopped by a note on the opposite side dresser. She reached over but not before stretching fully. Although, it was Friday, Jay still had a "busy" day at the office. With him being some towns apart, they were very distant most of the time.
The quietness of the room allowed Nicki to hear her nerve-wrecking thoughts. She was worried. What is something was to happen to him one day, and where would she be? In San Diego, where he wasn't.
Finally eyeing the note, Nicki rubbed her eyes of sleep, so that the writing didn't look so blurry and unfocused.
-Had some unfinished paperwork at the office to do. I'll be home soon.
Love.
Sighing Nicki fixed herself to get out of bed. The window was cracked so the cool winter wind blew in. Surprisingly calm, Nicki walked toward the bathroom. She opened the door only to find a mess upon the floor.
"He always does this!"
Sucking up her anger, she picked his clothes from off the floor. Curiously, Nicki picked up his shirt and sniffed the strange scent. Just as she thought; it smelled different. Throwing his dirty clothes into the hamper, she continued her unfinished trip to the shower. She couldn't help but think he was hiding something, she was still yet to find what though. It bothered her.
Nicki then froze once she heard a loud thump come from the main bedroom. Without thinking she yelled out, "Lily!"
Not getting an answer, instead she received quiet. Afraid of what she may come face to face with she stopped herself from opening the door. That's when she remembered she dropped off lily at her friends house for a couple of days yesterday.
The sounds stopped but the footsteps didn't. Swallowing her fear, she opened the door.
"Mrs. Maraj?"
Nicki jumped and her hand instantly came in contact with her chest, her breathing yet to slow.
"Shit, Rita you scared me!"
"I'm sorry." She said in her deep Hispanic accent.
"No, it's fine, really. I guess I'm a bit on edge today." Nicki removed her hand from her chest.
"I just had a few more things to clean for you. I know you have a busy day today."
"Yeah. Thanks anyway."
"No problem."
Nicki smiled momentarily before she headed back into the bathroom. She grabbed her washcloth and stepped into the shower. Her peaches and creme body wash could be smell from outside of the closed door.
"Mmm." Nicki said as she inhaled the sweet smell.
Her robe slid down her body and onto the floor, stepping in. The warm heat and water hit her body with a relaxing force. She loved it. Her eyes closed for a split second before forced open by a voice.
"Mrs. Maraj."
Nicki quickly turned down the knob to turn down the water. " yes?"
"I just wanted to tell you I will be leaving now,"
"Ok. Thank you!"
She heard the footsteps quiet before they weren't heard at all. Humming a soft tune, Nicki finished up. Turning off the hot water, she stepped out and wrapping her damp body in a warm towel. She grabbed her toothbrush, she applied the toothpaste and began brushing, letting her thoughts radiate and spin throughout her head.
Toronto. 8:15 p.m.
Drake shuffled and hurried to get his clothes on. His phone had woken him from his slumber. Startled, her turned a little too much and slid off the side of the bed.
"Shit!"
The figure next to him sat up quickly, "What's wrong?"
He looked up and the girl sitting in front of him. The creme sheets covering her breasts. Their night had gone unexpectedly, considering they were both drunk last night. Was it worth it? Nah. But to Drake it defiantly was needed.
"Nothing. Don't worry about it." His voice with a hint of attitude.
"Chelsea get out go do something, just don't come back."'he said irritated by her presence.
"I won't have to because your ass will come back once that bitch you've been stuck on wont give you the time of day. Yeah, you'll love me then. Just wait."
His eyes bulged, "get out."
She looked at him before chuckling, "desperate ass nigga." She wrapped the sheet around herself and headed towards the bathroom will whispering amongst herself.
Drake then looked up at his ringing phone. He picked it up along with himself.
"Hello."
"Yo, is this Drake?"
"Yeah." He said about to hang up.
"Wait. Don't hang up. I'm Nicki's friend. Lauren."
He listened extra carefully, "oh. What happened? Is she okay?"
"Oh! She's fine. I was just calling to say that her birthday in on the-"
"16th." He finished for her.
"Yeah. Which is in-"
"4 days." He did it again.
"Anyway. She hasn't been having the best time the last couple of months, and I want her day to be special. You know just a day for her to relax. I was just calling to ask you if you wanted to come."
The line was quiet.
"I mean you don't have to. I was just-"
"I would love to! In fact, I want to plan it."
"Thats- you don't have to do that. Me and Candi-"
" I know. I just feel like I owe her, and I do. Just let me do this. Maybe we can make up and become a family again."
"You know she's Engaged, right?"
"Yeah. So?"
She giggled, "I like you, you're very confident. You really love her don't you?"
"Yes. More than anything."
"Aww, that's cute. Save my number, we will need to be in touch."
"Already done."
"Jay!"
I pumped into her harder, feeling myself swell in her. I groaned feeling her tighten around me. Her sweat mixed in with mine. Her long manicured nails gripped the desk as we both reached climax. Her face was red and sweaty. I looked at her; she stared back. I was doing so many things wrong. I was loving too people at the same time. She wasn't even my girlfriend. Honestly, she was nothing to me. Her eyes read love. I didn't mean for her to catch feeling. This was supposed to be a simple affair, but scary enough it turned into more each time. What am I doing?
San Diego.
"I don't like the color."
"What exactly are you looking for?"
"We'll the colors scheme is red and pink. If you could find something close enough, I would be so grateful." "Am I asking for too much?"
"Onika, this is your wedding. I'm honored that you chose you're aunt out all the people you know to do this for you. It's no problem." Karen looked up. She noticed the sadness in her eyes as she laughed.
The laughing faded and serious filled in. "What happened?"
"I can't do this alone."
"Nika, what do you mean? You have a wonderful husband at home who is marring you in 2 weeks. You should be happy, not feeling alone."
"But I am. No matter what I do, he's not there."
"I can't interfere, but pray. Pray, ask god to guide you. Once you do that everything will become clear." She rubbed her back.
Nicki thought what Karen had spoken to her over in her head. No matter how much she waited for the answer, she was still alone. Maybe this wasn't what she wanted; needed. Maybe all of this was a mistake.
*sorry! Don't be mad! Please? I just got my iPad back so I can type and post. Hopefully new post tonight or tomorrow. Promise. This story is changing, for good or bad? You tell me! Comment!

Deja Vu (Full Chapter)
Previously….
The sun covered the living room as the family of three sat criss-cross in the middle. All of them wearing sweats and a shirt. Lily sat with her Barbie’s and her doll house standing tall next to her. Nicki watched her daughter study the toy. It was defiantly taller that her so she had to reach to play way at the top. You could say it was life-size.
“Where did you find a doll house this big?” asked Jay as he watched Lily attempt to stand her dolls up at the top.
“My manager’s friend, you know Loreann, had an old one in her basement, in perfect condition. She said she had no one to give away to, so she gave it to Lily.” Nicki explained watching her daughter experiment questionably.
“Oh…”
The clock had just passed 9 o’clock. The sun was in full effect making a warm feeling throughout the house. All curtains were open and two windows in the front portion of the house were open. The whole house was lit by the rays of the sun.
“Hey Ladybug, you hungry?” asked Nicki as she uncrossed her legs. They were now slightly gaped open.
The little girl nodded still in awe of the huge doll house. Nicki laughed.
“Well you keep playing. Me and daddy will be in the kitchen.”
“Okay mommy!” she yelled as they had already entered the kitchen area.
“What’s up?” asked Jay as he sat at the bar.
“Why must there always be something wrong? My husband can’t come help me cook breakfast?”
He smiled small, “Technically, we’re not married yet.”
“I know.”
Nicki then turned around, to tend to the bacon. She pre-heated the oven at 350. Jay watched her closely. What was he thinking? His life was perfect. He was stupid for ever cheating on her. He had everything he had ever dreamed for. Those other women he wasted his life on, was a waste of time. She was everything to him. He would go crazy without her. He couldn’t do that to her, lily, or them.
“Jay!”
He looked up, “Huh?”
“What’s wrong? I’ve been talking to you for some time now, and you have yet to answer.” Nicki placed her hands on her hips. “What’s bothering you?”
He looked into her worried eyes. He hated being the cause of her worry. “Nothing. Don’t worry about it.”
“Don’t worry about it? You never let me help, EVER! I’m tired of you hiding shit from me. It bad enough I have to find out hidden tea from other people. How do you expect us to get married?”
“I...”
She cut him off, “NO! We can’t! We can’t because you haven’t tried to help me. I’m going through this shit alone. Do you know how stressed I am?”
Nicki rubbed her temples and paced the floor. She closed her eyes and let out deep breaths. She had this health issue. When she would become stressed out to much, her blood pressure would shoot up and she would blank out. The scary thing was she could blank out at any time.
“Calm down,” said Jay as he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her neck multiple times.
“I can’t.” she cried. He sighed, “Go lay down and I’ll make you some breakfast.” “Sound good?”
She nodded and opened her eyes. Lily broke through the door startling the two. “Mommy guess what!”
They both turn to the little girl who was about to break out of her skin, “Uncle Faree said I could stay over tonight.” “Can I, Daddy! Can I?” she said jumping up and down.
“Okay munchkin.”
She excused herself happily. Nicki broke from his grasp and walked out of the kitchen and upstairs.
Taking the bacon out, he reached to the side and grabbed the eggs and biscuits. He let the oven stay on 350 for the biscuits. He cracked about 6 eggs and beat them in a bowl, seasoned them and added them into the pan where the butter was sizzling and melting. He was in deep thought as he did this. He needed a break. A nice, long vacation. He didn’t want to leave his family behind. He kept wondering why he was always the one with the bad luck, or Karma.
He didn’t want to hurt anyone he loved, ever. But he couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if he didn’t exist, never met Nicki, never proposed, and never took them in. Lily wasn’t even his, he knew that. He was caring for another man’s child. That counted for something, right?
-
-Yo Drizzy Wake up!
-Call 40. He’s been trying to call all day.
-Studio today at 12.
Sighing Drake jumped up from his lazy position. His phone was ringing and the annoying ass ringtone wouldn’t shut up. It must be important. He searched for the ringing phone. The ringing stopped, and then started up again.
“Shit! Shut the hell up!” he barked at nothing in particular.
He hurried and pressed talk, “Hello!”
40 laughed hysterically, “Good afternoon to you too.” He calmed.
“Afternoon? Nigga, what the hell you talking ‘bout?”
“Yo, Drizz, it’s after 12. You sure you aight?” “You had a girl over?” asked 40 nosily.
“Didn’t I tell you this year was strictly business.”
“Nah, you did. But I know you; you can’t stay away for that long.” 40 said matter-of-factly.
“True. “
“Chris said after the studio they heading down to your club. You comin’?”
He hesitated. “Aw, man! You haven’t been out in 3 weeks. Live a little. At least stay an hour.”
“Aight.”
40 smiled, “I’ll be over in 10.”
Drake hung up and chucked his phone. He entered his master bedroom and walked towards the closet. Stepping on something he bent down and picked up the picture. It was her. He smiled small. Damn, he missed them. He hadn’t seen her or so he thought in forever. He missed her smile. But he missed her mostly. He was stupid, really stupid. What he didn’t know was that he was in for one big surprise and so was Nicki.
Looking for her…
“Lauren I told you she ain’t here.”
“Shut the fuck up, Candi! I’m not leaving until she answers this damn door.” Lauren beat against the door harder.
Nicki’s eyes fluttered open as she looked around. She could hear distant beating, adding to her current headache. Jay was asleep next to them, Lily in her room asleep also. She rubbed the remainder of sleep from her eyes before she slipped on her house shoes and enclosed her body in her warm robe. It was cold and to make the matter worse, Jay left the window open. The house would never warm up now.
“Hold the fuck up, I’m coming!” She yelled reaching the door, “Pauz.” She snickered. She just had to add that in.
“Hurry your slow ass up, we’ve been waiting outside for forever, its freezing!” yelled a familiar voice.
Nicki rolled her eyes, leave it to her two best friends to interrupt her slumber. Nicki ripped the door open and looked at the two standing outside her door with a scowl.
“Aww, what’s wrong, Nika?”
“You know exactly what’s wrong. I was sleeping ever so peacefully, then all of a sudden there’s two bitched bangin’ on my door. What the hell ya’ll want?”
Nicki closed the door when they stepped in. “You know we said we was goin’ to the club tonight. SO get up and get ready.” She said to Nicki who had gotten comfortable on the couch with a bowl of grapes.
“Nah, I’m good.”
“Nicccc!” Candi whined. Lauren joined in.
“Ugh. Fine! But once I get bored, I’m leavin’! You two hoes got that?”
“To be so tiny, you damn sure hold a lot of anger.” The two snickered. Nicki side eyed them.
--
“That dress is perfect. Wear it.”
Lauren and Candi sat on the bed as they were already dressed. She placed the Blue strapless dress against her body. She looked down at it.
“Really?”
“Yes, I’m sure you’ll be gettin’ some tonight.”
“I’m engaged.”
“So,” said Candi with a straight face. Nicki chuckled. The three of them together was a big mess. But no one could separate them, ever.
“I feel like we’re in highschool, picking a dress for the prom or something.”
“Right,” Nicki agreed.
“Nika, hurry and get dressed, the club opens in an hour. You know it take forever for you to get dressed.”
Nicki disappeared into the bathroom. “Just make sure she doesn’t get bored.”
“Why?” Lauren asked looking up from her phone.
“Drake will be there, that’s why.”
“Her ex, Drake? They same one that-“
“Yes! Now do that and we can get rid of that Nigga that’s been cheating.”
“Candi…”
“Don’t. I know what I’m talking about, just trust me.”
Lauren sighed and looked back down at her phone, “Ok. I just hope she doesn’t end up hurt like she did in the beginning. She can’t handle that again and neither can I.”
--
“Yo, Drizz! We headin’ out!” Yelled 40.
“Aight!” He yelled back.
Drake stood to leave but something invaded his mind. Tonight was the night he would be reunited with her. He could almost smell the scent that radiated from her. Her dimples, eyes, everything. Presence. He missed her dearly. After the accident, everything changed for the worse. She lost her memory, they basically had to persuade her she had given birth to Lily Amarie Graham, and he couldn’t take it so he ran away from her, their child…, the world. He couldn’t face her, but now he could. He always wondered if she remembered him, or if she didn’t want to. It hurt his heart. He remembered crying when he thought of it. He rapped to forget it, but it would always end up coming back to that topic.
“Drake, let’s go!”
He broke from his thoughts. He grabbed his phone and quickly texted Candi on his way out.
>> On my way- Drake.
--
“Ugh! This line is a little too long for me.”
“Quit complaining and follow me.” They followed behind Candi as she made their way to the front. She whispered to the guard and they were let in instantly.
“How did you-“
“I have connections. Chill and enjoy yourselves.” She walked off and into the V.I.P area where Drake was waiting.
“She’s at the bar.” He smiled up at her.
He stood and hugged her, “I owe you. Seriously, without you none of this would be possible.”
“Don’t worry about it. Now go get your girl, Nigga.” He chuckled before exiting the bar.
--
He sat next to her, his back facing her. He didn’t want to scare her. He turned to her slowly after getting his drink.
“Hey.” He started off.
“Hi… Do I know you?” She said questionably.
She doesn’t remember me. He looked hurt, but hid it.
“Well, no… yes!”
She looked at him with a crazy look. “You know me, you just don’t remember me.”
“I think I would remember you.”
“But you don’t. I know lily-“
“How do you know my daughter? I haven’t been with you ever, nor have I talked to you.”
“Just listen” He grabbed her hand, but she snatched it away quickly.
“No! I don’t fucking know you! If you think I’m that easy, you’re sadly mistaken!”
“I don’t think you’re easy. I think you’re beautiful.” She blushed.
“That still doesn’t explain how you know so much about me.”
“Oh… I know way more than that.” He smirked.
She turned to him and squinted, “Like what?”
“I know you have dimples almost everywhere on your body. I know you’re name’s Onika Tanya Maraj. I know you hate sleeping in clothes, how you hate when people call you by your gov. I know so much but yet you still don’t know me.”
“I’m sorry. I don’t-“
“Think. Please?”
“I don’t remember you. I’m sorry if you were expecting me to, but I don’t. I can’t remember anything since-“She stopped. “I’m sorry I have to go!” she hopped up quickly. He grabbed her hand, “I won’t stop until your mine. Remember that.” He disappeared into the crowd. She stood dazed. He looked so familiar but she could remember anything about him. She already missed him even though he was anonymous to her.
S/N: Finally I’m finished! 2,068 words later. We’re getting toward the god part of the story; Dricki will be in full effect soon. Anyway, The Dricki footage on the Re- Up DVD gave me LIFE! Deja Vu Prt. 1
Déjà vu

-Yo Drizzy Wake up!
-Call 40. He’s been trying to call all day.
-Studio today at 12.

Trust Issues.
AN: Okay This is Nicki’s P.O.V so “I” means Nicki. Okay? I hope you guys understand. Read ON!!!
Trust Part 1.
I have given myself multiple chances at love, but not one has lasted. I wonder every night; Is it me? Or the way I am? The way I look? Who I am? Or what I have? Men just seem to not be as interested in me as they do certain women. Maybe I should just give up…
Nicki.
The storm outside progressed, and the lights flickered. I know in a few minutes Lily will be in her crying her eyes out. She couldn’t help being just like me. Weird that she didn’t get any of her father’s traits. She didn’t even look like him. I know he asks himself; “Is this my child?” multiple times. I just couldn’t bring myself to tell him she was another man’s child. I think he knew something was up anyway.
The lights flickered once again. I flinched and whimpered. My fiancé wasn’t here to protect me. I’m guessing he had a busy day at work. Today I was off. I spent most of the day giving the attention I haven’t been giving to my daughter. You could say it was sort of a catching up day, except her “Father” wasn’t here to share the day with up. I wish we could have chosen a more flexible career, but hey, the pay is great so I’m really not complaining.
Soft footsteps lightly ran through the hallway. If you were quiet enough you could hear them clearly enough.
“Mommy!”
I let out a small smile. I knew this was coming.
“Hey baby. What’s wrong?” I asked looking at her as she stood in the doorway, looking adorable as ever.
“I can’t sleep.” She said as it was followed by a sniffle. She had been crying.
“C’mere, you can lay with mommy.”
She rubbed at her eyes sleepily. She slowly walked towards me, her eyes barely open. She hitched onto the bed as her nails clawed into the comforter as she tried to get onto the all bed. I snuggled my face into her hair as I hummed a soft lullaby as she drifted off. I slowly closed my eyes becoming relaxed by the soft humming coming from myself.
A loud crackle of thunder roared through the house as lightning shined through the Victorian sized home. I looked down realizing my princess had fallen asleep already. I needed some shut eye, a busy day awaited me. I closed my eyes slowly and drifted off.
“Stop. I have to go.”
“No you don’t. She can wait whoever she is.”
I looked at her I was hurting Nicki and we were getting married in less than a month. I wasn’t devoting my time to this and it was hurting me, because I was hurting her.
“My fiancé. And I do have to leave.” Jay pushed away from her harder. She wanted sex and he wasn’t giving it… tonight.
“Call me at least.”
I looked back heading for the door. Not to mention, I could lose my job. No one was in this building this late… little did I know.
-
“Nic.”
The large hand shook me as I blinked a couple of times. I was confused, and mad due to being interrupted of my needed slumber.
“Wake up.”
I heard the deep voice say. Sitting up I rubbed my eyes. I didn’t see Lily next to me.
“Jay, where’s lily?”
He sat at the edge of the bed, “In her room.”
“Why’d you move her? She could’ve slept here.”
He shrugged. He reached to kiss me. The scent on his clothes caught my attention. It smelled quite different.
“Why do you smell different?”
“Huh?” He hollered from the closet. I didn’t ask again, because I knew my guess would be right anyway. I sat up and got off the bed. I trudged lazily downstairs and into the kitchen. I heard his heavy footsteps following. I heated me some hot chocolate.
He looked at me, “You didn’t fix me any?”
I pointed to the pantry. I watched him walk toward the hot chocolate box and grab a packet. He followed the directions and I watched him, wanting to ask…
“Where were you?”
He looked back, “My job. Where were you?”
“Here, with my family. Somewhere you weren’t.”… “You’ve been working a lot lately.”
“The more money the better… right?”
I nodded. The thing is I haven’t seen an increase n any of his checks in… months!
“What about-“
“Nic, no more questions please?”
“Are you cheating?” I blurted out. He looked surprised. I regretted asking. Why couldn’t I just trust him? I had no proof obviously.
“Why the hell would you think that?!”
I jumped. He never yelled. “I-I’m sorry. Just forget I asked okay?”
He sighed and looked at me, “C’mere.”
I walked over to him. He lifted me onto the counter and I looked directly at him, reading him.
“I could never do you like that. I wouldn’t cheat. I couldn’t bring myself to do it. So don’t worry about it.”
I looked down, “I know. Forget I asked.” I said sadly. He lifted my chin and kissed my lips softly. I needed him and tonight that. Love making was just a good at 3 in the morning. He lifted me and I wrapped my legs around his waist. He kissed my lips as out tongues wrestled. I couldn’t lie, he could defiantly please me. I wasn’t fully in it though. My mind wandered somewhere else. Drake.

Intro.
From One Thing To Another
The warm sun place its way into the middle of the sky as the day progressed on every second the clock ticked. Nicki opened her eyes and looked around. The room was still, painted a warm beige color. Blinking away the sleep that remained in her eyes, she sat up. Listening for something, anything she draped her legs over the bed and sat for a second. Her mind hadn’t processed what was happening just yet. No sounds could be heard as she sat in the room, windows and doors closed. Nicki then rose to her feet. The bed stood a few feet off the ground, making it difficult for her to get off in the mornings. Remembering the time when she forgot just how tall the bed was a slid right off and onto the floor, she laughed.
Nicki quickly undressed and grabbed her pink towel from the linen closet ways from her. She walked into the bathroom already nude and turned on the shower. Looking into the mirror as the water dropped loudly onto the shower floor as the water heated, she noticed a change. Her face was pale. She looked sick, very much so. Her eyes were barely open, but she was wide awake. She had bags underneath her eyes form lack of sleep, but to make matters worse, she had a late shift that night around 6. The water had already heated, Nicki stepped in.
Letting the water beat on her skin erasing all tension she felt daily. The pain and tenseness would only be gone for a certain amount of hours. Nicki grabbed the soap from the soap holder and grabbed her wash towel and began bathing. After rinsing away the soap, she stepped out as the water turned off.
The bedroom door opened just a Nicki was finished dressing. She looked over at her fiancé. He stood 6 ft. tall. His muscular frame was defiantly praised. He was sexy, she considered herself lucky. He walked closer.
“Hey I’m about to leave.” He said as he sat at the edge of the bed. He was also in the business career. He didn’t work in the same office though. His office was in another town almost on the completely other side of California.
“Ok,” Nicki stopped once she seen the shadow of small feet heading their way. “What time should you be back?” She continued once she saw the small pair of feet turn back around.
“Around five, six if it’s too busy.”
Nicki nodded in understanding, “Hopefully you’ll be back around 5, because my shift starts at 6.”
“I’ll try. It depends if Mike will let me. You know how strict he can be when it comes to work.”
“Yeah, I know. Just ask for me… okay?”
He looked at her. She looked beautiful in her baby blue and orange sundress. Her sandals brought her height up some inches. He watched as she put on her earrings and bracelet he had bought her for their anniversary.
“Jay, can you go check on Lily? I’ll be back down in a second since we have to go grocery shopping.” Jay excused himself from their bedroom to check on their two year old child. Nicki quickly descended the stairs and walked into the living area. The sun shun through the opened curtains. In the middle of the floor sat Lily as she colored in her coloring book, as Dora The Explorer was fixed on the flatscreen.
“C’mon Munchkin.”
“Why Mommy?”
“Because we need to stop by the store. If you hurry and get your shoes, I’ll buy you a new toy.”
It worked everytime. She was upstairs and back down in a matter of 2 minutes.
“Rweady, Mommy.”
I smiled down at my smart little princess as we headed out.
We finally were able to get into the store. Paparazzi crowded the doors as the snapped pictures of random people, obviously looking for someone in particular. Heading down the aisle Nicki didn’t notice someone coming straight towards her. Obviously he didn’t notice either, because our carts collided.
He looked at me and quickly apologized, “I’m so sorry.” His voice was deep and sounded very sexy. There was no way he was single. Nicki licked her lips unknowingly and he smiled.
Nicki finally caught onto herself, “Y-Yeah, I’m fine. I should have been looking.” She didn’t freak out once she noticed the paps were after him. He was obviously someone famous. She really didn’t care, didn’t interest her at all.
She walked past on and into a checkout line that didn’t have so many people in it. He walked past and exited after smiling at her and her heart fluttered uncontrollably. He had her and didn’t have a clue who she was, or so she thought. She was defiantly missing something.
Short, but just an idea of what’s to come. I’ll try to post tonight or tomorrow night promise. Who did she run into? What is she missing? Hmm? More coming soon. I won’t ask for comments until more people notice the new story and follow!
